HOW CAN I THANK YOU
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3: 16
King James Version
A very dear friend gave me a gift two days ago. I have thanked her several times for her kindness to me but I just can’t find the right words to thank her so that she will understand how very much I appreciate the gift. The thought came to me “If I can’t find the right words to thank my friend for her gift; it is impossible to find the right words to thank God for the gift of His beloved Son to me.”
In fact, there are no words in the dictionary that could ever begin to adequately thank God for the gift of His beloved Son. Our Scripture verse tells us that God not only loved the world, but that He so loved the world. His unconditional love, His mercy and His grace for us is undeserved. However, because God’s heart is filled with compassion for us; He gave us the greatest gift ever given.
How can I thank You, Heavenly Father, for all that You have done for me? Indeed, there are no words in any language to let You know how very much I love You and appreciate You. When I think that You sent Your only Son into the world to die for me, I am humbled and I stand in awe of Your great love and compassion not only for me, but for every person in the world.
How can I thank You, Jesus, for coming to me when I couldn’t go to You? When I was in the mental hospital, lying underneath the bed terrified of everyone and everything, You came to me. You told me that You would protect me and You have kept Your word. I love You with all of my heart. All hail, King Jesus!
